In Kanipakam (Chittoor), Andhra Pradesh, Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple, Kanipakam is a shrine to Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka (Ganesha), swayambhu, standing in a well of spring water. It is also known as Kanipakam Temple, Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple.
One of the most visited Ganesha temples in southern India, particularly known as a place where oaths are sworn: disputes are traditionally settled by taking a vow before the deity. Kanipakam lies on the banks of the Bahuda river in Chittoor district.

History
Kanipakam lies on the banks of the Bahuda river in Chittoor district. Tradition tells of three disabled brothers who struck a stone while digging a well; blood is said to have flowed from it, revealing the swayambhu Vinayaka, and the brothers were cured. The idol remains in the well, and devotees believe it grows slowly in size.
