An organised way to plan a temple visit

Most temple information online is scattered across old blog posts, forum threads and travel-agency pages that copy each other without checking anything. Temple Timings pulls that scattered information into one place: darshan hours, aarti and pooja schedules, festival calendars, dress codes, entry fees and how to actually get there, for 299 temples across 241 cities in 34 states.

Every listing carries the sources it was built from and a plain confidence rating, because temple timings genuinely do vary between sources, change on festival days, and sometimes just change without notice. Where this directory isn't sure, it says so on the page rather than presenting a guess as fact.

Frequently asked questions about Temple Timings

What is Temple Timings?

Temple Timings is an independent directory of temple darshan hours, aarti schedules, festival timings and visiting information for temples across India, organised by state, city and temple.

How many temples and states does the directory currently cover?

299 temples across 34 states at the time this page was generated. Both numbers are growing; the homepage's state grid always reflects the current count.

Where does the temple information come from?

Each temple's facts are compiled from public sources, mainly official temple or trust websites where one exists, alongside established travel and reference sites. Every temple page lists exactly which sources were used.

How accurate are the listed timings?

It varies by temple, which is why every listing carries its own confidence rating (high, medium or low) and a short note explaining why. Timings are the single least stable field in this dataset.

Will timings differ on festival days?

Usually, yes. Many temples extend their hours, add extra darshan sessions, or run an entirely different schedule during major festivals. Each temple's festival table notes where this applies.

Is Temple Timings affiliated with any temple trust, devasthanam or government body?

No. This is an independent, unofficial directory. It is not run by, or connected to, any of the temples or trusts it lists.

How do I search for a specific temple?

Use the search box above, or the Search page, to look up a temple by name, city or deity.

Can I browse temples by deity or pilgrimage circuit?

Yes. The homepage links to circuit pages such as the 12 Jyotirlingas, Shakti Peethas and Char Dham, as well as deity pages for Shiva, Vishnu, Devi and others.

How often is the data updated?

Temples are added and existing entries are corrected on an ongoing basis as better sources become available. There is no fixed update schedule.

How do I report incorrect information?

Email corrections@temple-timings.com with the temple name and what's wrong, and it gets corrected. Every temple page also links a Report a correction shortcut in the footer. If you have a source, the temple's own site or a notice board photograph, include it: that is what lets a correction be applied with confidence rather than swapping one unverified claim for another.
