Set in Pazhamudircholai (Alagar Kovil), Tamil Nadu, Arulmigu Solaimalai Murugan Temple, Pazhamudircholai honours Lord Murugan with his consorts Valli and Deivanai. It is also known as Pazhamudhircholai Murugan Temple, Solaimalai Murugan Temple.
The sixth of Murugan's six abodes and the smallest of them, completing the Arupadai Veedu pilgrimage. Set in forest, with the Noopura Gangai spring on the hill above. Pazhamudircholai is the sixth and last of the Arupadai Veedu, on a wooded hill about 4 km above Alagar Kovil and 19 km from Madurai.

History
Pazhamudircholai is the sixth and last of the Arupadai Veedu, on a wooded hill about 4 km above Alagar Kovil and 19 km from Madurai. It is associated with the poetess Avvaiyar, whom Murugan is said to have humbled here with a riddle about a naaval fruit.

How to reach
Solaimalai, about 4 km above Alagar Kovil and 19 km north-east of Madurai. Madurai Junction is the nearest railhead and Madurai Airport about 30 km. Buses run from Madurai to Alagar Kovil, with local transport up the hill.
