Shiv Mandir, Zotlang, in Aizawl in Mizoram, honours Shiva, as a Shivling. It is also known as Aizawl Shiv Mandir, Zotlang Shiv Mandir, Gorkha Shiv Mandir.
One of the oldest continuously used Hindu temples in Mizoram, and the historical center of worship for the state's small Gorkha Hindu community in a state that is over 87 percent Christian. Founded in 1920 under the initiative of Dhansingh Lama, a supervisor under the Lushai Hills Superintendent, and Bir Bahadur Chhetri, then a chowkidar at Bara Bazar.
Mizoram carries a distinct temple identity of its own: A state with a very small Hindu minority, served by Aizawl's modest but historic Shiv Mandir, founded in 1920 for the local Gorkha community.
Darshan hours and daily worship
Published sources do not give a single clean daily window for this temple; see the notes below for what is documented.
No independently verified daily visiting hours were found from travel-review or blog sources. A renewed search located the temple's Google Maps Business listing, which gives a specific weekly schedule: roughly 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday (opening slightly later, around 7:30 AM, on Wednesday per the listing) and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday to Sunday. This is the temple's Google Maps Business listing, not an official government, trust, or scholarly source, and could be self-managed or crowd-edited by an unverified party, so it is recorded as the best available data point rather than a confirmed schedule.
History and architecture
History
Founded in 1920 under the initiative of Dhansingh Lama, a supervisor under the Lushai Hills Superintendent, and Bir Bahadur Chhetri, then a chowkidar at Bara Bazar. It served as the focal point for Aizawl's small Hindu community from 1920 to 1947. In 1947 it was relocated to land at Gurung Tol, Dawrpui Vengthar, and was later relocated again to its present site at Zotlang (an area formerly called Shrimantilla), on a rise reached by a flight of steps.

Where this information comes from
Confidence: Low. The founding history (1920, named founders, two later relocations) is repeated consistently across travel-review and travel-blog sources, but no scholarly, government, or temple-trust documentation was found. A renewed search located the temple's Google Maps Business listing, which gives the first concrete timing data found for this temple (roughly 7 AM to 5 PM Monday to Thursday, 9 AM to 5 PM Friday to Sunday), but a Google Maps listing is not an official or scholarly source, so it is documented rather than treated as confirmed. Festival calendar, entry fee and dress code remain unverified.
