Ninra Narayana Perumal Temple, in Thiruthangal in Tamil Nadu, honours Ninra Narayana Perumal (Vishnu), standing form facing east, with consort Arunakamala Mahadevi, also called Shenbagavalli. It is also known as Nindra Narayana Perumal Temple, Thiruthankaal Perumal Koil.
Ninra Narayana Perumal Temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, the Vishnu temples glorified in the Naalayira Divya Prabandham composed by the Alvar poet-saints. Its hilltop cave shrine setting and pairing with the adjacent Karunellinathar Shiva temple make it a notable pilgrimage stop in the region around Sivakasi. The temple stands beside the Karunellinathar Shiva temple on the same granite hill.
Tamil Nadu carries a distinct temple identity of its own: Land of towering gopurams and living Dravidian temple traditions, from the Chola masterpieces to the great Pancha Bhoota Sthalas.
